Bright Minds School

Located in Fajara F section, Bright Minds Nursery school welcomed it’s first students in September 2024. Supported by Project Gambia, Headteacher Florence Bernard (one of our partners in The Gambia), set up the school.

Many of the children who now attend did not go to school as their families were unable to pay school fees. The school has 3 classes, Nursery 1,2 and 3. There are currently 45 children in the school, 35 of these have UK sponsors. The school continues to grow as it is gaining an excellent reputation in the local area for providing an outstanding education.

We have provided the school with resources, books, furniture and equipment to support learning in the classroom, whilst outside the children love playing on the slides, rollercoaster, ride on toys, swings and climbing frames.

Students visiting The Gambia with us have done an excellent job decorating the classrooms.
